{TCP143} A RedHeaded Valentine

Up next  is  TCP challenge 143, which was to use the word 'love or heart(s) on the card. I am still waiting for my Valentine-y lovey dove stamps from the new release, but alas, they aren't here yet! Darned customs always know where to hit me where it hurts! lol
So, I used my little man from the previous release. He is the sweetest..he reminds me of my 2 older kids who love having hot cocoa in real little mugs (which are me and my brothers 'brother bear' and 'sister bear' Berenstein Bear mugs from when we were kids). Quick fact: did you know the difference between Hot Cocoa and Hot Chocolate is that Hot Cocoa has mini-marshmallows, whereas Hot Chocolate has no marshmallows...that's according to the Peterson boys anyways!! lol
I used today Mojo Monday sketch:

I used OA's Seaside collection designer paper. I wanted to make a Valentine that wasn't all frilly and pink...something suitable for a boy! I also used some SU heart punches, kiwi kiss and cherry cobbler CS. I stamped my guy right onto the card front (SU whisper white- which is not my fav for colouring copics on- the colour tends to 'sit' on the surface of the paper more, giving it sort of a shiny, painted look. If you like that look, then SU is the way to go and cheap, but I prefer neenah, TE and xpress blend-it CS)

I made my little dude a redhead (E08, 09, 97), paper-pieced his coat and added some CE to the cocoa mug:) I stitched down all of the hearts (hey- who says you can't slather a boyish card in hearts?), added some silver brads to the corners and a SU kiwi cord button tied with red bakers twine. The sentiment (containing the word heart, of course) was stamped directly onto the white CS.

I kept the inside simple, as I want to be able to personalize this card for one of the many little guys in my life...I know a certain, sweet little redhead that might need a Valentine!!

{TCPTUES142} Krafty Big Bear

So, for a procrastinator such as myself, the last day of the month usually consists of getting anything done that has a deadline of the first of the next month. So here I am getting 2 of this months The Cats Pajamas challenges done! Well, in my defense, I had a little bit of a plan floating around this big ol' head of mine, and I needed one of my new TCP sets to arrive in the mail. For the first challenge, which was a lovely colour challenge (my fav besides sketches) of kraft, white, black, yellow and red. I wanted to use Big Bear and stamp him directly onto kraft CS..I have him a bit of shading (E53, 55, 57), glossed up his wee nose with some Crystal Effects and a bit of opaque white gel pen, and cut him out. The dp is the stunning new 'Circa 1934' line by Cosmo Cricket. I have been seeing this paper alot lately and I had to try my new pad out!! All I can say is Yumm-O! I know I'm gonna have to get some more of this or I'll end up hoarding it! hehe! I used an old skipping stones designs SSD61 sketch for this one. I'm also entering this card for the Thats Krafty Thursday #46 (use kraft CS in your project)..I've never entered Jeanie's contests before, but I sure admire her stamping!
Big Bear is popped up on a stack of circle nesties, I used my new TCP dies, Big scallop edge border die, and pinking edge die (not sure if thats the name?), some black satin SU ribbon. I used TCP's banner die and Coolvetica alphbet to spell out ROAR. I then used some SU twine and gold brads to finish off the banner...I LOVE banners! They are soooo fun! The banner and the circle panel are up on dimensionals as well.
The inside is the same dp, and a few layers of that super scallop die, as well as a strip of the satin ribbon. I used a PapertreyInk die, and SU scallop punch, a spellbinders label die and 2 gold brads to finish it off! I have to say that I am seriously in love with the way this card came out. The colour challenge was such an elegant combo, and this sketch made it all so easy! I am lovin Big Bear too:)

{MFTGUESTDT0211} I Love You

Hi!!! How's your weekend? Mine's been great! We took off Friday morning and went to West Edmonton Mall to go to the waterpark and stay overnight in a theme room at the Fantasyland Hotel. We had a blast on the slides and in the wavepool, ate at The Old Spaghetti Factory, shopped, saw a penguin show (to which my Hayes shouted 'Nice Puppy'...such a sweet little age! But no good for shopping with;) lol) oh my, you could go for days without even stepping outside, that place has so much to do and see! My hubby left for work this afternoon, which always makes me feel a little down:( But I have my 3 little monkeys to keep me busy, so the next few weeks should fly by. Oh, and my new job will keep my mind off being a desperate housewife, I'm sure! I managed to carve out some stampin time today to get my entry done for MFT's February guest DT. The challenge was to make a card using a specific recipe. Now I find these kinds of challenges really hard, as I tend to creatively 'veer off' the recipe and I always feel to confined, which I think stunts my creative mind! lol! But I gave it a shot anyway! The recipe: 1 patterned paper (WHAT!!!! If you know me, you know I love paper!!), 2 colours of CS, besides the neutral, 3 kinds of embellies, and the card has to have a Valentines theme to it.
Here is my card:
Guess what? I got this little Pure Innocence 'Sunshiney Day' at my LSS for SEVENTY PERCENT OFF!!! Plus I had a coupon for an additional 25% off!!!!!!!!! Can I hear a "WhoopWhoop"?!!
I stamped her with memento, omitting the butterfly and hedge(?). She is coloured with copics, masked off, and then I airbrushed sky. I cut a few clouds from MFT's Cloud Trio and put them here and there before airbrushing. I punched a few small hearts and sewed them together. The trick with sewing such small pieces (they are too little to be pulled along properly by the feed dogs) is to sew everything onto tissue paper. The tissue paper can then be easily pulled away. Don't ask me how I found all this out!! LOL! I popped up the hearts on dimensionals (halfed) and glued to string ends to her hands. The panel was then stitched around with a straight stitch. I used various SU punches for the border strips, the small hearts and the white circle under the button (which is also SU). The large heart is a sizzlits embosslit from SU. I tied plain white thread through the button.
Soooo, my three embellishments were: 1) ribbon, 2) button, and 3) punched out hearts
I used chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze (SU) plus the neutral white, as my colours, and the striped DP paper is from my stash. I thought it went perfect with the heart-stitched ribbon (Dear Lizzy + American Crafts). The ribbon is actually what inspired the whole card! I was brainstorming a completely different card, and then I realized that I didn't have the stamp set for the card!! HAHA!! I'll have to use that idea another time!
Here is a close up of the heart strings:
And here is the inside. I used the SU scallop border punch again, as well as a strip of the ribbon. I used the clouds again and airbrushed the main panel (although darker than the front, as I was practically doing it with no light- I thought about redoing it, but I think I am almost out of air and I don't have a compressor yet). I used 'I LOVE YOU' from Little Loveasaurus set. It is also stitched around to repeat the card fronts theme.
Well, that's about it for this one! Thanks for stopping by! I am hoping to get back into the stamp room tonight- I have a few unfinished TCP Tuesday challenges that I want to get done by tomorrow!! Cheers!

{TCPTUES140} Miss Ewe Snowbirds!

I've probably mentioned this before, but my mom and dad and 'snowbirds' (for those of you who aren't familiar with that term, it means desperate Canadians that 'migrate' to the southern states in the bitter winters to warm up!) My parents take their huge RV and drive down to Nevada, Arizona, California and even wander into mexico for day-trips..... they are gone for 6 weeks and I hate it! I miss them sooo much (I'm a self-admitted 'mommys girl') Anyway, when I was making this card, I started thinking about my mom- the sentiment 'Miss Ewe' is what got me thinking about her:( I think that snowbirds used to be typically elderly types (maybe thats just a stereotype?), but my folks are in their 50's, so they are still young and want to go while they are still fit enough to 1) drive the RV, and 2) golf and drink! But for this card, I went with an older gal  in mind.....I threw on some fancy dazzled sunglasses (which I used sakura glitter pens, cyrstal effects and tiny twinkles on- a little extra from an MFT set- Bon Voyage?). I also gave her a nice purple-y blue rinse on her hair, as some older gals like to have (which I also gave a coat of spica clear glitter pen to). This card is so bright that I thought the shades were fitting for that as well!
I used TCP's apron lace die and cut it twice so I got the lacey look one each side. I used the TCP Tuesday inspiration challenge for this one, pulling out some of the colours in the hat. I also think the lacey dies look sort of like loopy crocheting. I used similar colours of bakers twine from The Twinery and wrapped them around the die cut strips.  I love this twine! It has great names, like lemondrop, pink sorbet, caribbean, and lilac. Plus you can get the sampler pack so you can try each colour and the shipping to Canada is cheap too! The rest of the card is pretty self explanatory. I used some SU circle punches for the sentiment and some polka dot SU ribbon. Not sure where the yellow button is from. The glasses and hair are popped up on dimensionals.

I kept the inside blank..I was thinking that if you are missing someone, a nice little note would be something you might like to add:) I used all of the colours and the TCP die to make more strips (single sided this time) and a little more twine and another yellow button.

{SSSC101} Love Sick

Hi! As I am trying to write this post and edit my photos, my little one is still up, whining crying, saying every word in his little vocabulary...Did I mention it's almost 11 at night!!!!!! The babysitter let him have a really long nap today while I was in town getting the lowdown on my new job that starts Tuesday..Yikes!! I'll tell you more about that later. I wanted to get this card finished up for the All That Scraps Challenge to make a valentine card. I also used the SSSC 101, which I flipped to be a vertical standing (?) card...

I used my beloved little nurse PI from MFT, and i also got a little TCP order in the mail today and decided to use the big scallop edge die....some zig zag stitching was done (note the crap stitching my machine is doing, missing stitches here and there- oh well, it's homemade right?), a little chocoalte taffeta ribbon...what else can I tell ya? Oh yeah, I stamped her nurses cap and clipboard separately, coloured them and popped them up on a makes such a nice little detail! I also added little SU pearls to her shoes.

I used new Bo Bunny paper and SU cardstock, the ribbon is SU as well as the punches used in the inside. Well, I am beat and the baby is finally asleep, so I'm going to go and catch some Zzzzz's:) See you soon!

Goldilocks and the 3, I mean Bears!

Sometimes I feel a little like Goldilocks..with my 3 lil boys (who can be real bears when they want too, let me tell ya!). This weeks Kraftin' Kimmie challenge is to create something with a fairytale theme. I decided to ink up my Goldilocks set. I used last weeks SSSC100, but didn't get the card done until this past sunday night, so I missed the deadline on that one:) Yes, I know...I am on the ball! lol
Since I was obviously channelling the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears, I busted out my brand-spankin new OA paper pack...called 'Campout' I believe? Anyway I thought the baby blue story book page and the tree dp were perfect for the theme! The tale of wandering through the forrest and coming upon the bears house was runnning thru my mind:) My son Jake came in my stamp room to hang out with me and I told him the story...the I felt like a bit of a 2nd rate mom, as I had never told him that one before and he's almost 5!! Oops! lol!
Anyway, I stamped her on TE choice white cs and coloured her with copics....btw, these kraftin' kimmie kids are fabulous, but colouring them is not for the faint of heart!!! It's definately an endeavour! I practically develop carpal tunnel every time I ink one up! I also made a mask and airbrushed a light blue sky basckground and green grassy base...I then added a bit of grass with the same green copic. I added a little sparkle to her hair bows, the mama bear's bow, and Goldi's dress ruffle with a clear spica. Some SU pearls were added for a little extra detail, as well as a big SU ribbon bow:)
Don't you love that loopy border die on the front? Well, it's one of my favorites...the Apron Lace border from TCP! I also used it on the inside, just cutting twice, to make a double edged border. I used another spellbinders die (different size, same label) for the inside sentiment, as well as the little bear that comes with the set (there are 2 sentiments that come with this set- the other is something about 'sending you bear hugs' or something like that). As I mentioned before, KK stamps are UNMOUNTED (which I loathe, but I love Kimmie stamps, so I put up with it;) If you live in the sticks (like me) and have been patiently waiting for your stamps to arrive in the mail, and they come and you are so excited to use them and then you open them and think "what the heck?! where is the foamy, sticky peice that I push onto the block??"....and then you have to wait days until your trip to town to find some product that you stick on the back...then you're not alone!! So here's my advice: Buy some of that EZ Mount foam and have it on hand for these kind of predicaments!! It will save you some grief!

Thanks for visiting!!! Jenny

This is gonna be a fast one, so buckle your seatbelts! I have to get out the door soon, and I have yet to even have a shower, but I really want to get this one in for the Kraftin Kimmie challenge (use flowers)....
The sketch is this weeks from Cardabilities.
I used Kimmie's 'Charlotte' and coloured her with copics. I wanted the dollies to look like the old fashioned kind that were made with muslin scraps..i like how they turned out! I inked the edges of the oval die cut panel with creamy brown chalk ink. I layered it on a scalloped oval die. There is a bit of straight stitch sewing on the panels. I made the flowers with various circle punches and scraps I had laying around. I spritzed them with water and crumpled them up, added brads and a twiney button, and used another twiney button to anchor the sentiment, which is an MFT PI sentiment.....The DP is a little October Afternoon as well as The Girls Paperie. No time to do the inside of this one!! LOL! Thanks for popping in! Jenny

{WSC} Whats Up Sunshine?

hey there! I am loving these weekly sketch challenges from MFT! Especially since Mercy has stopped with the Tuesday sketches and Jen's SFYYT is now monthly- I need me a weekly sketch to keep my mojo going:)
I used MFT's In the Garden Jolinne. I coloured her with copics, paper pieced her dress, and drew in some grass. The flower pot was stamped twice and popped up on dimesnionals. I cut her out with a nestie and sponged the edges with soft sky ink. I sewed around all the panels with a row of wonky stitching. There is a little strip of die cut grass behind Jolinne that you can't really see very well. I also cut out a sun with MFT's dienamics and used that in place of the sketches snowflake. I used some yummy green bakers twine from The Twinery and did a double loopy bow thingy behind the big button, which I affixed to the card using hot glue. It's the best for glueing bug and bulky embellishments to a card. I cut the sentiment with a spellbinders tag die and inked the edges.  I moved the sentiment tag to the bottom where it seemed to fit better. I combined the words from a few of the sentiments to make my own cute little phrase 'Whats Up Sunshine' and used the question mark from the PI Bon Voyage set.

I love the sentiments that come with this set...especially this one that I used in the inside of this card. Isn't it sweet?! I used the same crazy stitching and the same dp that I paper peiced her dress with on the front. Well, thats about it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: MFT
Ink: memento tuxedo black, SU soft sky
DP: Cosmo Cricket 'togetherness'
Other: Copics, spellbinders dies, twine (The Twinery), button (MFT), sponge, dimensionals (SU), sewing machine, thread,  1" circle punch (SU), glue gun, brad (basicgrey), sun and grass dies (MFT)

{SSD58} Elli's Card

Hey folks! Gonna keep this post short and sweet, as I am pooped and am going to hit the sack after I have a cuppa tea:) I made this card for my sweet neice Elliot for her 2nd birthday. And being cute is what she does! lol!
I used the skipping stones designs sketch from 2 weeks ago for this one...would be nice if I could get my poop in a group and get these cards posted for the right week! haha!
I also used my new Christmas prezzie from my boys for this copic airbrush kit! It was kinda fun, although I wish I would have picked a colour that went better with the paper. Oh well!

I also used my new-ish rolled rose dienamic from MFT, which I seriously SUCK at rolling! Felt isn't to bad, but paper is another story! Grrrr- it rips like crazy! I'm gonna have to you tube some videos and learn this stuff better! lol!
Stamps: MFT
Ink: Memento
DP: Cosmo Cricket (pixielicious)
Other: Spellbinders dies (circles, lacey circles), punch (martha stewart border punch, SU scallop oval), Copics, airbrush system, ribbon (SU), felt (MFT), rolled rose dienamic (MFT), dimensionals (SU), Bigshot

{WSC} Love Bunnies!

Greetings All! I have been a busy girl all day doing laundry and trying to get my house cleaned up for my 'Scentsy' party tomorrow night as well as the usual 3 loads of laundry per day..I think I've created little monsters in my kids, as they refuse to wear the same clothes or even jammies twice. That equals alot of laundry, LOL!! And I have been finishing up my last minute prep for my Monthly Stamper's Group that meets tonight. We are making some sweet Valentines projects...someday I should actually take a pic and show you what we create:)
I made this card for my husbands brother and sis in laws anniversary. It was actually the 27th of December, but with Christmas season, it always seems to get away on me! Maybe my New Years Resolution should be to actaully make cards that people get on their actual day rather than days or even weeks late! I used the current WSC getting sketchy #2 over at MFT for this one and inked up a neglected Stephanie Fizzer set.
I coloured my bunnies with copics (C1, C3, C5, C7) and shadowed a bit under their tushies and ears with the C1. I wanted a bright but elegant kind of colour scheme, as I tend to think of baby cards when I think bunnies, and I wanted this to clearly not look baby-ish. I tied some black satin ribbon around the card and fixed a bow to that. I blinged it up a bit with some SU large rhinestones (over top of small punched out black circles) and tiny twinkles on the sentiment tag. The half circle panel and bunny stamped panel are popped up on boosters.

I used SU's 'teeny tiny wishes' for the inside, and wouldn't you know it I smudged the ink...Grrrr! I hate it when that happens!

Stamps: MFT (bunnies, 'hoppily ever after' sentiment), SU ('happy anniversary' sentiment)
INK: Memento
DP: Papertrey ink
Other: dies- Spellbinders, punch (SU), rhinestones (lrg- SU, small- TE), dimensionals (SU), ribbon (SU), bigshot

Thanks for stopping by!!

{MOJO173} Crafty Cuppie

Happy Sunday everyone! How was your weekend? My dh and I had a nice afternoon in town yesterday while grandma and grandpa kept the boys. I went to Michaels and Scrapbookers Paradise, spent my Old Navy gift certificate, and wandered around a few other stores! Then we went to the yummy "It's All Greek To Me" restaurant for some delish saganaki, kleftika, and chicken skewers!! Mmmmm! Then we went to 'Country Strong'. It was really good I thought! Today was my neice Elliot's 2nd birthday party. Lots of fun!!
I made this card for my mom to give to my aunt. She wanted something with a scrapbooking feel, so I went with this crafty cuppie from Taylored Expressions. I used MOJO's sketch this week for the layout.
As you can see from the picture, my sewing machine is still not sewing worth a crap....and I just got it back from the repair store..Grrrr! I used some Thrift Shop paper from October Afternoon. I coloured Cuppie with my copics, added some glitter pen to the container of embossing powder/glitter or whatever's in there;) I used my oval and scalloped oval nesties to cut out the image. I threaded some buttons with twine and used some always artichoke seam binding ribbon. Crystal Effects were added to Cuppies cherry as well as a little white opaque pen for a little highlight.
For the inside, mom wanted to be able to put in a little coupon for a scrapbook that my aunt can make with us when she comes to visit. So I made a giftcard type of holder to slip the coupon in, as well as another slot to put the greeting into.
The 'Buttons' note is a new SU set. I used the crafty sentiment set for the 'I'd Rather be Scrappin'.

Stamps: Taylored Expressions, Stampin Up!
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
DP: OA (thrift shop)
Ribbon: SU
Other: Copics, spellbinders, crystal effects, sakura clear glitter pen, kitchen twine, Bigshot, sewing machine, thread, SU circle punch, buttons (unknown)

{SSSC99} Heart Song

Hi there! Ah, my heart is singing right now! My hubby is home and I am watching him play with the boys and give them hugs and kisses and it makes my heart happy to have my family all together where we belong:)
So this post is fitting for the mood that I am in right now....bright and cheery with a song in my heart;)
This layout is from Karen's SSSC99, this weeks sketch. I love this one- I'm sure I'll use it again and again:)
I am also entering it in TCPTUES141, in which we were challenged to use ribbon in a non-traditional way (NO BOWS!! lol). The Design Team were soooooo creative in this challenge- I cannot begin to fathom their level of crafty genius! I really had no 'lightbulb' moment, so I went with a simple ribbon-scrunching (??) technique (it won't land me any awards for unique-ness, but it is cute I think:)....I stamped my little Jingle Bell TCP girl in memento and coloured her with copics and paper-peiced her coat and then her hands. Instead of using the Christmas-y bells she came with, I punched a little heart out of some DP with an SU! punch and stuck it under her hands. I lifted up the top edge of the heart a bit, covered the heart with cotton candy stickles and dusted a very small amount of dazzling diamonds glitter over (I didn't want the glitter to over run the pink stickles). I coloured over her hair ribbons and tights with clear and pitch black stickles. I cut her out with circle nesties and sponged with my beloved baja breeze ink.
The ribbon treatment is really easy to do, just run a strip of score tape along the card front and start laying the ribbon down, bunching it and bending it as you go along. If it looks bad, pull up what you need to and keep going;) The trick is to leave the ribbon on the roll while you do this. It takes alot of ribbon, and there is no way of knowing how much you need until you're done. Under that red satin ribbon strip is the brand-spankin' new SU melon mambo pompom trim! YUM!! Gonna get this in a few more colours I think! There is an orange colour that I won't be able to live without! And under that pompom trim is TCP's icing cut up die in Buh-right yellow CS!! This card is so bright I have to wear shades!! LOL
I didn't embellish this card too much (a few heart brads on the front), as I wanted the bright colours to take centre stage....adding more jazz would have probably taken away from it. I even debated the heart brads, but they are new and I am like a kid when I get something new and HAVE to play with it! I think the hearts are ok..what do you think?

For the inside, I used the circle nesties again,, as well as the lacey circle nestie. I sponged the white sentiment circle with the baja ink again. Since the stamp set I used is a Christmas one, I had to nose around all my stamps for an appropriate sentiment. I found this one in an MFT Jolinne Heart Sings set....I think it's perfect for the card! I also used a srtip of red ribbon and the yellow icing die again.

Stamps: TCP Jingle Bells (girl), MFT Jolinne Heart Sings (snetiment)
Ink: Memento, SU
CS: SU, TE (choice snow white)
DP: Bella Road 'Everybody Loves Christmas'
Ribbon/ trim: SU
Dies: Spellbinders, TCP
Other: stickles, Copics, dazzling diamonds (SU), Spica (clear, pitch black), brads (making memories), dimensionals (SU), sponge, bigshot

{SSSC98} Candy Cane Kisses

Ooops! Had this card done for last weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, but didn't get it posted in time! I am pretty sick of winter and all that goes with it, but I was feeling bad that I didn't make my hubby a Christmas card, so this one's for him;) He gets home tomorrow and I am very excited to see him! It's been a short 2 week job, but I am happy to see him just the same. My parents are going to Arizona on Friday for 6 weeks, so I am a little sad about that, so Craig getting home tomorrow night is perfect timing!

Wowza! I am just seeing the crappy colour on this picture- I am seriously the worst on photoshop! My DH bought me the 'photoshop for dummies' book when he got the program for me last! It hasn't helped me, as you can tell;)
I really liked this sketch! Lots of fun! I used my nesties to cut out the MFT 'a la mode' stamped image, which I coloured with copics, clear spica pen and some distressed stickles on the hat, mitts and boots. I also dabbed stickles (an aqua colour) all around the circle to look like snow falling.....All other supplies including ribbon and punch are Stampin' Up!

Stamps: My Favorite Things
Ink: Memento tuxedo black
ribbon: SU
dies: spellbinders
Other: Copics, stickles, spica,
SU pinking hearts border punch

{TCPTUES 140} A Sheep in Sheep's Clothing

When it's cold like this (-25 celsius today and supposed to get -30 by the end of the week), even animals covered in wool need to wear a coat!! This little TCP sheepy is no different! This is the challenge from last week....not quite sure if it's what I'm entering or took on a mind of it's own about 1/4 the way in, and I'm not sure if I am super happy with it. Ever have an idea in your head that just won't transfer into what you wanted?? This is one of those ideas gone astray!
I used Jen's SFYTT this month, and The Cat's Pajamas is sponsoring this one, so if you use a TCP stamp, and your card is randomly chosen, you win a prize!! Woot, Woot!! The TCP challenge was an inspiration challenge, which I'm actually starting to enjoy! Here is the photo that the Hipster Hostess, Toni, supplied us all with this past week:

Here is my take on this challenge:

I paper-pieced her 'coat' and scarf with some yummy BG Olivia dp, coloured the rest of her with my copics. I added baby braddies as coat buttons. The panel was sponged with Baja Breeze ink (my fav ever SU colour!!!!) and machine stitched around the edges. I added some chenille-y type of crochet trim to the card- it reminded me of the soft hat, and also a pink crochet flower was nestled behind the stamped panel. It also was inspired by the actual hat. I added a cord gray brad to the front of the sheep panel. The sheep panel is popped up on double layers of dimensionals (that crochet flower is pretty thick!). Baby brads were added to the pink panel in the corners as well.

The inside sentiment panel was sponged and sewn around as well. I used a few scrap pieces of dp layered on black CS to add some interest. I totally don't agree with the saying, as it's freakin' cold out there right now, no matter what you wear! But it is cute nonetheless;) Just not for this climate!!

Stamps: TCP
INK: Memento tuxedo black and SU baja breeze
DP: Basicgrey 'olivia'

{WSC}Super Boy!

Hi there! Hope you are having a good weekend! We are pretty much snowed in here in Central Alberta!! We did go swimming this morning for my nephews Lucas' 2nd birthday...I made him a card, but it was pretty simple- just some chipboard stickers...the only stamping on it was the sentiment!! Crazy, I know!
I did make this card for my bestie's son Jaxon's 5th birthday. I used MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge and this cute little PI stamp.

I used some snazzy MFT dies (scallop border, star border) and a new SU die for the sentiment banner. The image was cut with a spellbinder oval die. I coloured him with Copics and added some red stickles glitter to his cape and shorts, as well as a bit of sakura glitter pen to his buckle. I drew a 'J' for Jaxon on his chest and glittered it too:) Some silver brads and some SU star designer brads finish off the front!

Inside was kept pretty simple, using a bit of the leftover stars along the sentiment panel and a couple more brads.

Stamps: MFT
Ink: Memento
CS: SU (colours), TE (white)
DP: Cosmo Cricket
Dies: MFT, Spellbinders, SU

Martha's Apron

Second post of the day! Can you tell my hubby is away at work? hehe! He gets jealous of my stamp time, so when he's gone I can stamp away without feeling like I'm leaving him out and ignoring his every need;) lol
Anyway, I made this card for my lovely friend who recently had a birthday. She is the perfect woman, in love with her husband (I mean the head over heals kind of teenage, heart skips a beat, tingle in your toes kind of lovin), she is a wonderful mother to her 4 children, and she never fails to put a homemade meal on the table every night, and she NEVER complains about any of the mundane chores of motherhood. She treats every day like a blessing!
So I made this 'Martha' card for her:
I made this with some of the new Stampin' Up! products from the mini catalogue. They are available  to order today! I am in love with these new little plastic flowers and my fav, the seam binding that they have in many new colours! As well as this great new dp:) I also used my new Taylored Expressions stamps and dies....I just love this set!!!!
